Our Programs
Little beginnings.
Big possibilities.
From a baby’s first secure relationships to a confident step towards school, every stage at Caterpillar Kidz is built around the child in front of us—not a one-size-fits-all timetable.

One journey. Five stages of becoming.
Children do not grow in neat little boxes. They grow through relationships, repetition, discovery, laughter, challenge and the freedom to try again. Our room journey reflects that: each stage builds naturally on the one before it while leaving room for every child to move at their own pace.
🌱 Seedlings
Security, connection and sensory discovery.
🐛 Crawlers
Movement, language and growing curiosity.
🌼 Pods
Independence, imagination and making choices.
🥚 Cocoons
Ideas, friendships and confident exploration.
🦋 Butterflies
Capability, resilience and readiness to fly.
First, they need to feel safe enough to explore.
For our youngest children, learning begins with trust. Familiar educators, responsive care and respect for each child’s individual rhythm create the secure base from which curiosity can grow.
Seedlings
We follow each baby’s rhythms for sleep, feeding, comfort and play. Gentle sensory experiences, movement, music and warm interaction support early development while helping babies form strong, trusting connections.
Crawlers
As movement and language take off, the world gets bigger. Children are encouraged to investigate textures, sounds, spaces and friendships, supported by educators who know when to step in—and when to let discovery happen.
Pods
At two and three, “I can do it” becomes powerful. Hands-on play supports self-help skills, problem-solving, creativity and early social confidence, with plenty of room for imagination and joyful mess.
Curiosity becomes confidence.
As children move into Cocoons and Butterflies, their questions get bigger, friendships deepen and their sense of themselves grows. We extend learning through purposeful play, conversation, projects and experiences that connect literacy, numeracy, creativity, science and the world around them.

Purposeful doesn’t have to mean pressured.
Children learn deeply when they are interested, involved and emotionally secure. Our job is to notice what matters to them, introduce the next possibility and create an environment where learning feels exciting.
Relationships give children the confidence to participate, communicate and take healthy risks.
Building, storytelling, cooking, art and outdoor discovery can carry rich learning without turning childhood into school.
We notice strengths, interests and emerging skills rather than expecting every child to develop in exactly the same way.
What you know about your child matters. Open communication helps home and the centre work as one team.
More ways to wonder.
Incursions and enrichment experiences bring new people, ideas and skills into the centre—from STEM and sustainability to movement, music, cooking, health, safety and cultural learning. They add surprise and possibility to the program while children remain in a familiar environment.
Where is your child in their journey?
