My Kinder
Big learning.
Your family’s choice.
A joyful, teacher-led kindergarten program for children aged 3–5—with the flexibility to choose Sessional Kindergarten or a Full Kinder Program.
Choose the kinder rhythm that works for your family
Your child should not have to miss out on a rich kindergarten experience because your family needs different hours. At Caterpillar Kidz, the same focus on connection, curiosity and school readiness sits at the heart of both options.

Growing the whole child, not just ticking school-readiness boxes
Children practise sharing ideas, collaborating, listening and forming friendships in a safe, supportive group.
Purposeful play builds early literacy, numeracy, problem-solving and the confidence to ask questions.
Warm relationships help children understand emotions, build independence and feel secure in who they are.
Routines, self-help skills and a love of learning make the move to school feel familiar and exciting.
A kindergarten where your child is truly known
We are family owned and operated, so our attention stays where it belongs: on children, families and the quality of every day. We combine the warmth of a close-knit community with a purposeful program that prepares children for what comes next.
A considered program led by a qualified kindergarten teacher and supported by caring educators.
Early literacy, numeracy, science, creativity and problem-solving through meaningful experiences.
We notice each child’s strengths, interests and next steps, then shape learning around who they are.
Open communication connects home and kinder, celebrates progress and supports transitions.
We build independence, confidence, communication and familiarity with routines—not pressure or worksheets.
Single-level spaces, secure onsite parking and extended hours make every day easier.
Funded Kinder is available
Victoria provides funded kindergarten for children in the two years before school. Caterpillar Kidz participates in the Victorian Government’s kindergarten program, and our team can help you understand funded hours, Free Kinder support and—if you choose full-day care—how Child Care Subsidy may also apply.
Kindergarten FAQs
Still deciding? Book a tour and we’ll talk through what would suit your family.
Is sessional kindergarten the same quality as the full-day program?
Both options centre on a play-based kindergarten program delivered by a qualified teacher. The key difference is how the program fits into your day: set sessional hours or integrated within extended care.
Which ages do your kindergarten programs support?
Our kindergarten offering supports children across their 3- and 4-year-old kinder years, generally ages 3–5. We can help you work out the right starting year for your child.
What does play-based learning mean?
Teachers intentionally use children’s interests, questions and play to build skills. A construction project can involve maths, language, teamwork and problem-solving—all at once.
Can I use Child Care Subsidy for the full kinder program?
Eligible families may be able to use Child Care Subsidy for long day care fees. Your exact out-of-pocket cost depends on your circumstances and attendance pattern.
How do I know which option is right for us?
Think about the hours your family needs, your preferred weekly rhythm and how your child manages transitions. A centre tour is the best way to discuss a suitable pattern.
